Dr. Devin Ferguson, MD

Surgeon Scientist

A graduate of Dalhousie University’s Medical School and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program, Dr. Ferguson completed his fellowship training at the Roth|McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London, ON, specializing in upper extremity reconstruction and trauma. During this time, Dr. Ferguson completed a Masters degree under the supervision of Dr. Athwal and Dr. Johnson working with state-of-the-art cadaveric shoulder simulators and completing a biomechanical comparative study which included the REACH subacromial implant in an irreparable rotator cuff model.

In 2023, Dr. Ferguson joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Dalhousie University as an upper extremity consultant. His research interests continue with the optimization and evaluation of the REACH subacromial implant as well as the clinical applications of navigation and robotics in upper extremity surgery.
